I created an Analysis on what the cost for 99 Magic would be by means of alching and plank make. Here is the result:

An important concept to keep in mind is the time it takes to accomplish one certain method. For instance, in the Analysis, it takes me 114 hours to achieve 99 by alching. However, by Plank Make, it only takes 37 hours. Although alching would cost less to achieve 99 by, the time saved by Plank Make can then be used to earn my money back. With the time it takes to get 99 by alching, I have two choices: Alch, and lose 18mil, or Plank Make to 99, and Runecraft the remaining time, EARNING 39mil.
The decision on which method is quite easy to determine via that analysis.
i think alching addy platess gives profit but im not sure...
ReplyDeleteWith the current median prices on the Grand Exchange, it's not quite a profit, but it IS a mild 83gp loss per alch, which is a bit lower than anything else I had listed. The cost for 99 via this method is about 9.5mil, so it's actually very cost efficient. The only thing I may find troublesome is access to the alching material. People actually have to smith the bodies, since it's not THAT common of a drop, ya know? And not many people are willing to sacrifice that much cash to make Addy Plates.
ReplyDeleteIt will still take longer also, compared to Plank Make. So basically, unless there's an alching method to actually earn 62mil, then Plank Make is still gonna be the way to go.
And sorry if I came across a bit critical towards the suggestion. It DOES seem like a very good item to alch, far better than the ones I have listed. I'll even try to update the Analysis to include it. =o So thank you for suggesting it. ^_^
ReplyDeletei looked around and buying blue mystic sets, exchanging them for parts and high alching everything but hats, then selling them makes profit.

ReplyDeleteif u loot the nature ruines (means get them from monster drops, not buying if you dont get me) and buy i think yew longbow's (cant remember if there stinged or unstinged, sos) u can make a profit. btw this worked 2 months ago, im not sure about now
